Musical Director - Christopher Roache
Christopher is an accomplished tenor and countertenor and the new Musical Director of The Gisborne Singers. He has performed widely across Australia and internationally, including the UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Singapore. His solo work features major choral repertoire such as Bach's St John and St Matthew Passions, Handel's Messiah, and Mozart's Requiem, as well as collaborations with artists including Ben Folds and Hans Zimmer.
A dedicated educator, Christopher has taught singing since 2010, working with students of all ages and abilities. He began teaching members of the Newman College Choir and later taught full-time at an all-girls school in Oxfordshire, UK. Since returning to Australia, he has taught at Sophia Mundi Steiner School, The Kilmore International School, and Assumption College Kilmore, where he currently teaches Year 7-12 Music, including VCE Contemporary Music Performance.
Christopher holds a Bachelor o f Music (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne.
