Its the sign of a great work: to not tire of its performance, nor of its listening. The soloists were moving and inspirational in their sincerity, the orchestra mesmerising, and the choir - the biggest ever - were truly marvellous. A collective rapturous cheer for our conductor & musical director Stephen Brockman for bringing us all together so magnificently.
As one reviewer wrote:
“They have always been good – very good – but as more than amply demonstrated in their two November performances of Handel’s Messiah in Sunbury and Kyneton, their hard work and determination to succeed have put the GISBORNE SINGERS on a high pedestal indeed”. The two performances were “uplifting and awe-inspiring,” and “well and truly gone were any doubts we may have had in the past that there is a gem in our midst that well-deserves both our praise and future support.”
All Audience feedback has been wonderful, and we thank the many of you who came to thank various members of the choir.. We’re glad you enjoyed it as much as we did.
A special thanks to all those ‘friends’ of the choir who volunteered their time to help make this years performances so unforgettable. We don’t thank you enough!
A reminder that The Gisborne Singers will be performing carols and hymns at a service in St Paul’s, Kyneton on December 18th @ 8:00pm. All are welcome. Entry is FREE!
